My Approach to
Mental Health Treatment
Mental Health Treatment
My goal is to meet you where you are so we can build a strong therapeutic relationship, develop a treatment plan that is specific to you as an individual, and empower you to meet your treatment goals.
I use evidence-based practice models that are person centered and strengths based to include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy (SBFT), and Nature-Informed Therapy (NIT).
There is no "one-size-fits-all" treatment. I collaborate with you to identify the specific interventions that best fit your needs.
Adaptive yoga connects the mind and body through the practice of physical postures partnered with the breath. Unlike a group yoga class, our practice is integrated into your therapy session and is focused specifically on you, your body, and your needs. We move at your pace so you can listen to and respect your body and your boundaries. My goal is to provide you with knowledge and skills so you can continue your practice anywhere you are comfortable.
Nature-informed therapy (NIT) is a therapeutic approach that incorporates nature into psychotherapy, integrating nature's multi-faceted healing properties into evidence-based practices. The calming and centering effects of nature, combined with proven therapy methods, can provide powerful healing effects. Our NIT sessions reconnect you with the natural world through activities including walking or hiking, mindfulness practices, and adaptive yoga.
NIT helps ground you to the present, return you to your center, and engage in therapy from a new perspective.
